Viveka is the current President and Principal of her own consulting firm H.E.R Canada Consultancy – specializing in strategy and program/project management consulting to clients in Health, Resources and Energy sectors. She is a mechatronics engineer by training, has a masters degree in manufacturing management, and an experienced PMP certified project manager with 15 years of industry experience. Viveka brings a wide breadth of hands-on experience in developing business strategy, and managing complex projects that include multi- million-dollar green energy projects in Canada for companies such as Siemens and Wood PLC.
Viveka is a passionate community contributor – she continues to volunteer in her free time to causes that resonate with her passion to help people with rare diseases. Prior to joining Ataxia Canada, Viveka was a consultant advising on strategic programs to a foreign NPO specializing in providing educational services to children with severe cerebral palsy. Her key mandate within Ataxia Canada is to improve the visibility of the organization to Crown Research Agencies and institutes such as CIHR for securing additional grants and enabling targeted research funding and co-funding. As a secondary mandate, she will also help support corporate sponsorships, and help Ataxia Canada expand its services in English Canada.
In summary, Viveka brings a strong strategic mindset, coupled with experience in research, analytics, collaboration, and stakeholder management to Ataxia Canada to help the organization realize its vision and mission.
