A conversation with the women and men involved in our foundation: Trinidad Ruiz

Today we introduce you to Trinidad Ruiz, digital acquisition marketing specialist at Future Electronics.

AC: Can you describe your professional background?

TR : I graduated from the University of Ottawa in 2011 with a bachelors in International Management. I have experience in procurement and marketing.

AC: What are the professional accomplishments you are most proud of?

TR : I worked for the Canadian Coast Guard on contract and helped the team organize various activities for the CCG 50th Anniversary. The most memorable part is having the opportunity to visit ships similar to the one you can see on the Canadian 50$ bill.

AC: Tell us about your involvement with Ataxia Canada

TR : I have been involved with Ataxia Canada for almost a  year now. Ataxia Canada is an organization that is dear to me since my sister was diagnosed with Friedreich Ataxia almost 15 years ago.

AC: What would you like to accomplish with Ataxia Canada?

TR : I’m hoping to raise awareness on this rare condition across Canada. Thanks to science we are closer than ever to finding a cure or at least a medication to help reduce the symptoms. Being a carrier myself, I want to spread the word and make people aware of this conditio
