The ATAXIA CHALLENGE will take place on Saturday, August 24th, 2019 in Chambly, at the Parc des Ateliers in collaboration with Parks Canada. It is an opportunity to do your part. Because moving together is to advance research together!

WALK AND BIKE REGISTRATION

Your registration fee for the event covers only expenses incurred by the foundation to welcome you to the site and includes a t-shirt (walkers ) , a snack, a dinner, an alcoholic beverage (or not), animation and musical performances !

After your registration , you can join or create a team and our free plateform will automatically create a fundraising page that can easily be emailed and shared via social networks to your family, colleagues and friends. We want to make a difference in the lives of our young people with degenerative neuromuscular disease and we need you!

For a team of 5 people, your fundraising goal should be around $ 500 plus $ 100 more per additional participant. Individual participants can register and donate $ 30 or more!

Ataxia Canada – Claude St-Jean Foundation is supporting medical research and the people living with the disease on a national scale. Local research initiatives have inspired international groups to build on our success and invest in gene therapy! Different drugs trials are actively in development in many countries. With your generous donation we can invest with international partners to create opportunities for our patients to have access to clinical trials in Canada.

Walk Details

Walk is 3km Start time of the walk: 10:15 AM

• Free for children under 3
•  3 to 14 years old: 10$ 
• 15 years old and over: 20$

Bike Details

We have significantly lowered the registration fee this year! We offer you to sign up at cost! However, we need your help to improve the well-being of people with familial ataxia and to support research. We encourage you to create, join or support a team or simply donate! Thank you !

BIKE CIRCUIT PRESENTATIONS:

• Long circuit  Distance of 96km : Elevation of 476m:50 $  START:  8 h 30

• Average circuit Distance of 70km : Elevation of 344m :50 $  START: 8 h 45

• Family circuit  Distance of 50km : Elevation of 105m : 50 $ START:  9h

In addition, our loyal partners will be at our side this year to ensure our safety, as well as an outstanding technical support for cyclists (Quilicot, the Fédération québécoise des cyclistes and the Club cycliste de Chambly).
